Instructor Qualification Clinic for ASA 119:
Weather is the single biggest factor affecting ALL mariners. Take the mystery out of marine weather forecasts by learning the basic principles of marine weather and the range of available resources. Observe weather and sea state conditions, interpret traditional weather and ocean charts, and use the latest technological tools and apps. Learn to apply the information for local, coastal and offshore voyages, making your time on the water as safe and efficient as possible.
This 4-day course combines lectures, hands-on exercises and an offshore passage planning practical. Instructor candidates participate in ASA 119 and remain online for 1 hr after each class day to discuss instructional aspects, and will prepare and present a short, relevant topic to other instructor candidates.
The course is conducted as a live webinar via Zoom, with plenty of class interaction. Free Shipping to addresses in the continental US; shipping fees apply if outside of CONUS.
Course fee is $650. Boat show discount of $30 off for sign ups through 31 Oct. Course fee includes textbook, workbook and study materials. IQC 219 Certification is included upon successful completion.
